Craftwork Projects

Joinery Frame 2025

I took an evening course for a couple of weeks at the London New School of Furniture. It was an introduction to joinery course, and it was really good to learn the fundamentals. We did 6 different joints with manual and some power tools in a frame to bring home. Perfection.

Japanese Stool 2025

Made in the weekend course at the London New School of Furniture. It was a really fun workshop - learned to use the chisel to do the shoulders for a simple joint, used biscuits and coverings for the screws. It's cool to have a workshop with tools to use, since I usually worked with the bare minimum at our London flat.

Garden Table 2025

I found an old cabinet and some steel table legs on the street so I decided to use a sunny Sunday to assemble it together and made a nice table for the garden.

Radiator Shelf 2024

We didn't have a lot of space in our London flat, so I was always trying to find creative ways to display or store things. I was thinking that I could use the radiator in the kitchen as a support, and add a shelf for cookbooks and stuff. I used different scrap wood taken from the street and some drying rack wire that I bended to do the shelf endings.

Bed Slats and Drying Racks Wire 2023-2025

London has a lot of people moving in and moving out and there is a lot of thrash in the front doors that can be reused and up-cycled into different projects. I used to pick bed slats and drying racks to craft different projects. The first one was a planter for the garden and some for the windows, then I did a spice rack and some custom made shelving units for our flat.

Maderística Stool 2021

Made this stool following the Maderística online course "Introduction to furniture making" it was my first contact with wood working and power tools. Learned how to use the jigsaw and router, made a template with MDF before to craft the final pieces using plywood.
